Welcome to Northminster Presbyterian Church

Be a part of Northminster
“We invite you to Seek, Serve, and Embrace within Northminster Presbyterian Church.  Seek, Serve, and Embrace forms us into a warm and caring community. Seek, Serve, and Embrace leads us in study and worship. Seek, Serve, and Embrace sends us out in mission and service to the Broad Ripple community and to the world. Seek, Serve, and Embrace calls us, comforts us, and challenges us.

As a congregation we have been serving in this location for almost 60 years. With excitement and high expectations we are beginning to explore a new direction for the future. We hope you will join us.” --Teri Thomas, Pastor

Join us for worship
People of faith at Northminster have been worshipping and celebrating the life of Christ for nearly 60 years. Our church is firmly built on Presbyterian traditions but is contemporary in thought and action.

The Sunday worship service focuses on celebrating God’s love for us and our commitment to God. Inspirational prayers, motivating sermons and captivating music are blended into a service that draws us closer to God and to each other. We celebrate the sacraments of communion and baptism on a regular basis. In addition to a children’s sermon during our service, we offer child care and religious classes for young people.

Get to know us
We provide fellowship opportunities to meet the needs of our congregation and friends in the community. Join us between services or after the summer service for coffee and doughnuts. Come sing in the choir.

Small groups meet regularly for Bible study and prayer. We offer friendly gatherings for everyone—men and women, singles and couples, children, youth and seniors.

Cultural programs are offered to the community throughout the year. Your whole family can be a part of church life through Family Fun Nights, family retreats, and mission trips.

Help us help others
Northminster is a strong and vibrant presence in Indianapolis, especially in the Broad Ripple and Meridian Kessler neighborhoods. We act out our faith not only in words but also in outreach to the community.

Northminster strives to reach out to others locally, nationally and internationally in mission. We support the following financially and with volunteers: transitional housing for the homeless; IPS #55 children, their teachers and families; a Christian coffeehouse for youth and adults at Glendale Mall; and Habitat for Humanity. We supply food baskets on Thanksgiving, clothe 100 children in new winter clothing at Christmas and participate in Broad Ripple Neighborhood Association events. We are involved in global mission through the Presbyterian Church (USA), and our children raise funds to buy farm animals for families in third world countries.

We are Christians who are committed to loving our neighbor as ourselves in Indianapolis and throughout the world.
