| Worship
Worship at Northminster Church is an opportunity for
you to be with a joyous community of faith as we sing and pray
and hear God's Word read and preached. Worship may include special
vocal selections, instrumental music, a drama or a dance. Worship
is our response to God and we never want God to be bored.
Please visit our Friendship Table which displays all of our
activities at Northminster Presbyterian Church.
We offer three services each Sunday.
9:00 a.m.
9:00 worship is our early service of the day. This inspiring
format will include more congregational participation, a new
choir for music leadership (the Eucharist Singers) and the sacrament
of communion each Sunday. It is our hope that modern liturgy,
the addition of drama and the combination of familiar and new
hymns will help make this service a meaningful worship experience
for all. We are especially excited about the opportunity to
share the Lord’s Supper together each week. The message
will be slightly less formal but will remain consistent with
our traditions and is, of course, open to absolutely everyone.
Children's choir will frequently provide special music.
11:00
a.m.
11:00 worship is our second service and remains traditional
with Northminster's heritage. Our amazing Chancel Choir will
provide music leadership. The service will be more formal than
our 9:00 service and last about an hour. Children in kindergarten
through 5th grade will attend the first part of the service
and are invited to participate in the Time with Children at
the front with one of our pastors or a bible visitor here to
tell a story. The children are then invited to attend Junior
Church where they will participate in music and bible stories.
For the youngest children, from infant through preschool, there
is child care.
Childcare and programs for school-aged children are
offered at all Sunday services.
