What is
it like at Northminster on Sunday?
9:00
a.m.
9:00 Worship is our early service of the day. This inspiring
format will include more congregational participation, a new
choir for music leadership (the Eucharist Singers) and the sacrament
of communion each Sunday. It is our hope that modern liturgy,
the addition of drama and the combination of familiar and new
hymns will help make this service a meaningful worship experience
for all. We are especially excited about the opportunity to
share the Lords Supper together each week. The message
will be slightly less formal but will remain consistent with
our traditions and is, of course, open to absolutely everyone.
Children's choir will frequently provide special music. Following
the service, which concludes by 10:00, refreshments are served
inside the front doors and entrance into the sanctuary. Please
visit our Friendship Table which displays all of our activities
at Northminster.
10:00
a.m.
Infant through 5 years go to first floor of the education
wing. Kindergarten through Sr. High, head up to
the second floor of the education wing.
At 10:00 a.m. there is Church School. Look
for Julie Shannon
to find out about our youth and young adult activities. There
will also be inquirer classes offered periodically during the
year for new members, curious visitors or long time members
seeking more insight. If you are interested in joining the church,
tell any pastor or one of your new church friends and they will
help you get the answers you want. Adult and teen classes are
varied throughout the year and help participants learn more
about their relationship with Christ.
Debbie Bulloff is the Asst. Director of our Christian Education
program and can help you find the right class for your children,
but then again, .....anyone in the hallway will also be able
to help.
11:00
a.m.
11:00 worship is our second service and remains traditional
with Northminster's heritage. Our amazing Chancel Choir will
provide music leadership. The service will be more formal than
our 9:00 service and last about an hour. Children in kindergarten
through 5th grade will attend the first part of the service
and are invited to participate in the Time with Children at
the front with one our pastors or a bible visitor here to tell
a story. The children are then invited to attend Junior Church
where they will participate in music and bible stories. For
the youngest children, from infant through preschool, there
is child care.
Childcare is provided at all services
We provide child care for infants and toddlers during the 9:00
and 11:00 Sunday services.
Preschoolers go to Sunday Church School at that time.
