North'Stars - Concert in the park!
Pack up your lawn chairs and picnic suppers to join the North'Stars (social group for people in their 50's, 60's and 70's) for a FREE concert at Holliday Park on Thursday, July 22. We'll picnic beginning at 5:30 pm. The jazz group, Convergence, will perform at 7 pm. (This event will be cancelled in case of rain.) Email (or call 549-2864) for more information.

Info on Alzheimer's - Sunday, August 1st
During our 10 am fellowship & coffee hour the Alzheimer's association will have a table in the Gathering Place. The Alzheimer's Association is a great resource, not just for those diagnosed with Alzheimer's or dementia, but also for their caregivers. August Older Adult Luncheon - Thurs., August 5
Let's jazz it up for summer! Even in summertime when the livin' is easy, it's great fun to shake it up a bit, so just sit tight & join us for some "movin' & groovin'" to the music! We will start our time together at 12:00 noon with lunch. Cost is $6.00. Please rsvp to the church (251-9489) no later than noon on Tuesday, August 3.

Second Annual Northminster Men's Golf Outing
Join us on August 14th at Mohawk Hills Golf Club with a "shotgun" start at 1:00 pm. Get your-singles, twosomes, threesomes, or foursomes together and contact Bob Bowers ( or 259-7366). We will fill out any incomplete foursomes. We will be playing as individuals and use a blind bogey handicap system (calculated by the club pro). Practice will start at 12:00 with registration from 12:00 - 12:45. Cost will be $50 per person, which includes 18 holes of golf, cart, meal (afterwards), drinks during play, practice balls (irons only) putting green, and prizes. Make checks payable to Northminster with "GOLF OUTING" and turn them into the church office. If any of you golfers or non-golfers know businesses who might donate a door prize for our outing, please contact them and let Bob know!

Tandem
Our group of retired couples and singles will meet for lunch on May 18 (3rd Tuesday each month) at the Castleton M.C.L. Cafeteria at 11:30 am. Newcomers are always welcome. No reservation required!

If you are a third grader---Save the date!
Bible Sunday will occur on September 19 this fall. Third graders and their parents will receive a special invitation to worship Sunday morning as they receive their Merriman Bibles during Children’s Time.

Communion Training in September---Save the Date---September 26 at 10:00 a.m.
All Children who are going into Kindergarten-2nd grade in the Fall are invited to Communion Class September 26. Parents are especially invited to attend with their children. We will all meet in Room 204 and then move to our church school classes for age-appropriate activities. We will all plan to take Communion with our Northminster Church family on October 3.

World Communion Sunday is October 3, 2010
If you would like to bake or bring bread for World Communion Sunday on October 3, please let know of your interest by September 23. Making our Communion Table look bountiful and sharing that bread with our friends after worship has become a tradition these last several years. Phone: 251-9489 ext 16.

Preschool and Mother's Day Out - registration is still open!
Now that the "Big Kids" are back in school, would you like to find a quality program for your little ones? Northminster Community Preschool and Mothers'-Day-Out is your solution! There are still openings in our Mothers'-Day-Out program (must be 18 months old by August 1, 2009) and our preschool program (3/4 and 4/5). Preschoolers must be 3 years old by August 1, 2009.
