Soul of Aging

Time: 10:30 am – 12:00 pm

The Soul of Aging is a six-week series that addresses the spiritual dimensions of aging.

Eleanor Roosevelt said, "Beautiful young are accidents of nature, but beautiful old people are works of art."  In The Soul of Aging, we will creatively approach "the art" of aging intentionally and the many soulful invitations our maturing years offer us.

We will have the opportunity to consider topics such as: unfinished business, managing regret, leaving a legacy, exploring our limits, and thinking about death.  The process invites us to listen to our own soul and the soul of others with great respect, deep listening and radical acceptance.  In that place of quietness and authenticity, we hear the Spirit's voice speaking to us and through us.

The first session will be an introduction to the method, based on the Circle of Trust approach of the Courage & Renewal movement.  Participants may decide whether to commit to the next five sessions.

Dates:  October 31, November 7, 14, 28, December 5, & 12
Time:   10:30 AM -12 PM

Pastor Charlotte will lead this program at Faith (8170 Hague Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46256), inviting people from Northminster and Irvington Presbyterian Churches. In the new year, we will hold a Saturday morning class, suitable for those who are still working and looking toward the future, and open registration to the community.
