Back to School Extravaganza (B2SE)

Time: 12:00 am – 5:00 pm

It is that time of year again when we start processing Lost and Found clothing retrieved from the Carmel Clay and Washington Township schools.  We partner every year with St. Luke’s Methodist Church, Second Presbyterian Church and the North Mennonite Church to provide school supplies, new shoes, new blue jeans and all the clothing that we process.  We care for approximately 1,200 children in the northern portion of Marion County.  All this and more services are provided on July 28th.

Here is what we need from you.  Starting in the first week of June bags of dirty laundry will be in the laundry tote located in the Gathering Place.  As in other years please take as many bags as you can, launder and return the clothing to the church.  We like to complete this process by the end of June.  During the first part of July we will sort, hang and categorize the clothing in order to prepare for the main event.  On July 28th, we will man and operate the Northminster Clothing Store at St. Luke’s.
