Families

Everyone is welcome here!

All of our activities are open to single people, couples, single parents and families with children. We celebrate the whole household of God. Activities are planned for growth, learning and just plain fun! Our families come in all shapes and sizes and there is a place for you here in our Northminster family.

Parents with a Passion
We are parents of all ages, with kids of all ages - our common goals are becoming better parents and helping each other become better parents. Sometimes we use books about parenting to guide our discussions, but more often we just talk about our recent challenges, successes and funny kid stories. Our conversations are engaging, enlightening and very honest! We also adopt family-friendly, mini-mission projects that can be accomplished in one or two days - a great way to work together as a family and as a church family.

We meet 6:15 p.m. - 7:25 p.m. at the church and begin meeting in late August, continuing through mid-April- anyone can join the group anytime. Happily married, not-so-happily married, single, divorced, widowed, cohabiting, whatever - all are welcome! Feel free to contact with any questions at 317.251.9489.

As an added bonus, dinner is available at 5:30 p.m. for just $3.50 (adults) or $2.50 (children). Dinner reservations can be made by contacting Debbie Bulloff at 317.251.9489. We also offer homework help and childcare. Hope to see you!

Northminster Preschool and Mother's Day Out Programs

The Northminster Community Preschool program offers classes for children who will by three years old by August 1 of the upcoming school year. The classes for 3/4 year olds meet on Tuesday and Thursday with the option of a morning program at 9:15 - 11:30 a.m. or an afternoon program at 12:30 - 2:45 p.m. The classes for 4/5 year olds are for children who have turned four years old by August 1 and plan to attend kindergarten the following year. The 4/5 classes meet on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with the same morning or afternoon class time options.

The Northminster Mothers'-Day-Out program serves children who are 18 months old by August 1 of the coming school and not yet eligible for preschool. Children in the Mothers'-Day-Out program generally attend one day a week, on Tuesday or Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. or on Wednesday from 9:15 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The Wednesday class is specifically for children who are 2 1/2 years old by August 1. Mothers'-Day-Out programming focuses on social skills for young children and adapting to being in a different environment with other people. For many children, it is their first experience being away from Mom and Dad. The children in this program bring their lunch to school, and those in the Tuesday and Thursday classes nap in the afternoon.
