I get to carry ALL the bags

More about stuff…   jack's xray

Jack has a broken hand.  Three bones are broken.  His other injuries are healing although his face looks pretty bad.  He saw the orthopedic doctor today.

I am threatening to leave him at home and take someone with me who is capable of lifting a suitcase.  His grandson Colin has already volunteered.

But it does raise that issue of stuff again.  What stuff am I willing to leave behind now that I have to carry everything myself?  What stuff am I willing to do without in order to have Jack along?  Maybe I will need to think on that one a little longer.

Sounds like you are starting your Sabbatical off with some unplanned excitement! Hope the rest of your trip goes a bit smoother! Glad Jack got checked out before you ended up in Africa! Hope he heals quickly, and the rest of your trip is accident-free! You can probably find some more stuff to leave behind to lighten the load! Don

Colin can march for miles with his bass drum strapped to him..... so carrying a few heavy bags for short distances will be a breeze. His suitcase is still packed just in case he is needed!
