Summer Worship at 10 am - June 27

Time: 10:00 am – 11:00 am

The Northminster congregation will reunite this summer for in-person Sunday Worship at 10:00am, beginning Sunday, June 13th.  (No 9:00 am worship service.)

Worship services will be held at Northminster at 10:00 am, and will be live-streamed for those unable to attend in-person, with the exception of three special Second Sunday gatherings.

On June 13th, the second Sunday of June, we will gather at Broad Ripple Park for worship and to enjoy a family reunion atmosphere.  We will do the same on the Second Sundays in July and August.   (A pre-recorded service will be available on these Sundays for those unable to come to the park.)

Each of the Second Sunday worship services at the park will have a distinct focus:

·         June 13th:    Taking NPC’s Mission Beyond Our Walls

·         July 11th:      Worship and Church Picnic (Please note that registration for the Picnic is separate from
                                  registration for Worship.)

Read all about the Church Picnic here

·         August 8th:  Blessing of Backpacks/Recognition of Educators

Even with the mask mandate being lifted in Marion County on June 7th,  Northminster is going to ask you to bring a mask to both outdoor and indoor worship services this summer (at 10 am beginning June 13.)

People are to bring their own chairs to the outdoor worship services.  Covid restrictions have been lifted.  During worship in the park, we will sit together at picnic tables, but if you are able, please bring a lawn chair.

If you have mobility issues volunteers will be on hand to help.  Go to the main parking lot at the park (off 62nd Street), not at the tennis court entrance.

For now, please register for the summer worship services (both indoor and outdoor) so we can be prepared to welcome you with bulletins, safe seating and plenty of hospitality.  If the sanctuary becomes too crowded we will open space for people to participate in worship in Calvin Hall or the Gathering Place using large TV screens. On the registration form is an optional question asking if you are vaccinated or not. We are trying to gather information on the percentage of worship attendees who are or are not vaccinated. This optional information will help us plan to safely welcome you, your children, and those who are new to our community of faith. Thank you so much for providing this valuable information.

On Sunday, September 12, the summer worship schedule will culminate at the church with the celebration of Northminster’s 75th Plus One anniversary.

This summer is a time to reunite, renew, and rejoice.  We hope to see you!
