Peace & Global Witness Offering
World Communion Sunday – October 2, 2022

On World Communion Sunday, we celebrate that Christ’s peace extends through all creation.  Through participation in the Peace & Global Witness Offering we connect with each other to confront systems of injustice and promote reconciliation in places around the world and right here in our neighborhood. 

  • 25% of this Offering stays with our congregation to support peacemaking and reconciliation in our own community.
  • 25% of this Offering goes to our mid council and joins with other congregations’ gifts to support peacemaking within our region.
  • 50% of this Offering supports the work for peace and reconciliation being done by Presbyterians across the globe.

 “You shall go out with joy and be led forth in peace.”  Isaiah 55:12

Through ministries advancing the peace of Christ at home and around the world, the Peace & Global Witness Offering enables the church to address systems of injustice wherever they occur.  This would include:

  • Climate change
  • Nonviolence
  • The intersection of poverty and racism
  • Immigration/migration
