Christianity for Adults
Time: 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Beginning on September 27, Northminster member Don Knebel will present a series of six classes he calls "Christianity for Adults." His goal is to show people, including young people, that they can be unapologetically Christians without being forced to believe things they see as impossible in light of twenty-first-century realities. The series is deeply rooted in the actual teachings of Jesus but includes things that people were not often taught in Sunday School. He will pay close attention to what it means to be a Matthew 25 Congregation.
The first presentation, "Who Was Jesus, Really?" will seek to discover what some have called the "Jesus of History."

Northminster Presents: Lauren Lancaster
Time: 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Infant/Maternal Mortality in Indiana
The United States has the worst infant mortality rate of all the world's developed nations, three times higher than Japan's. Even worse news for us is that Indiana has the 10th worst rate of all states. If you think this is bad, the maternal mortality rate in the U.S. is the worst of all developed nations and Indiana is 3rd among all states. This places our home state as one of the worst environments on this issue in the world.
Come in person to the Sanctuary or by live-streaming to learn more about this vital topic presented by Lauren Lancaster.
Lauren Lancaster | Bio
Lauren is a member of our church and has bachelor's and master's degrees in public health policy. She has participated in health policies with Indiana's Family & Social Services Administration and IUPUI. Lauren is currently a part of the Indiana Minority Health Coalition and serves as a statewide Maternal/Child Health Manager for the Coalition, serving minority healthcare disparities and speaking up for the underserved.

Food Pantry Volunteering
Time: 12:00 am – 12:00 am
Volunteer with us! As summer comes to an end, we need volunteers to help work our regular pantry hours on Mondays and Thursdays. We also urgently need volunteers to do guided shopping with our neighbors for Senior Pantry days on the third Wednesday of each month. Westminster runs on volunteers! Each year, people like you donate hundreds of hours in support of our mission on the Near Eastside of Indianapolis. Volunteers allow us to serve the thousands of neighbors who come through our door to utilize our food pantry and soup kitchen.
Bring your family, bring your coworkers, or just bring yourself! Spend a Monday or Thursday morning with us, helping families in need.
