Fan the Flame Day of Giving
Time: 12:00 am – 11:59 pm
Northminster Presbyterian Church is excited to support Pyoca Camp and Retreat Center as they host their inaugural "Fan the Flame" Day of Giving on Wednesday, June 21. The fire of faith has led generations of children, youth, and adults to explore, grow, rest, and play at Pyoca. Help us fan the flame that has been led by God and guided by beautiful servants, staff, and volunteers. Join NPC to make a gift to Fan the Flame at Pyoca and together we can keep the fires burning.
Visit Pyoca.org on June 21 to make your gift or make your gift today and be sure to follow Pyoca social media for more information leading up to the day and on June 21.

Brief Pyoca History:
In 1952, the original property was purchased to create a camp for Presbyterian youth and families by the Synod of Indiana. The camp recently became an independent non-profit corporation and is responsible for all aspects of its operations. Pyoca remains a validated ministry of PCUSA and also serves a wider community. The camp celebrated its 70-year anniversary. in 2022.
Pyoca got its name from a group of junior high girls during the very first summer of camp, and is an acronym formed from the phrase "Presbyterian youth camp". The same girls also wrote the Pyoca camp song, set to "The Ash Grove".
Pyoca is now a year-round facility with a full-time Senior Director, Program Director, Assistant Program Director and part-time kitchen staff. The main priority is still our summer camp program which has grown to 15 summer staff and volunteers that make each week an incredible experience. Our programs have grown year-round to provide ecumenical opportunities for people of all backgrounds.
