    Join the Dishwashing Crew!

One of the best ways we can help our church lower its carbon footprint is to cut back on (or completely eliminate) single-use items like plastic water bottles, disposable dishes, and utensils. The good news is our church has a nice collection of ceramic dishes and reusable utensils we can use for events, including our Wednesday night dinners and Italian night.

And here’s more good news - someone gets to wash those dirty dishes! If you’d like to be a member of the elite inaugural “Dishwashers For The Lord” crew, you can email or call Monica Brase by email or phone. Benefits of joining the crew include getting to eat the delicious Wednesday night meal (you can eat with the group or after everyone has left), wearing a cool apron and dishwashing gloves, and learning to operate the industrial dishwasher (a skill that looks great on a resume!). And, of course, you’ll be doing something great for our planet.
